One Day

That day seems so long ago and far away,

The shock we felt and the pain we held.

As we stood last night looking down upon your grave,

We couldn't help but remember your face.

When we stand and talk of all the times we've had,

We remember the good ,as well as the bad.

We know that you don't want us to cry,

But I believe you would understand why.

The days will pass and the pain will fade,

But our lives will be forever changed.

How could this be,

A friend, a brother

Gone forever.

Whenever we feel sad we just look at your picture,

Your smile will brighten our day.

We always know,

You are there for us helping in some way.

I don't understand why this happened,

I guess God just needed another Angel in Heaven.

One day we will be together again,

Laughing, smiling, having fun, just like old times.
